Condolences to all your family from the family of Floyd and Alberta Spaulding. We also known him and his two girls forever. I remember the races and the music fun had by all. I have enjoyed the pictures through the years. Thank you for sharing. Please know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers. Love
Gloria, Michael and Janice

Helen, Everybody will miss Virgil, I know him for 60 years, in June 1956 I sold Jim and Virgil a 49 Ford, he did a lot of racing with that Ford, I was in the Air Force heading over sea to England. I alway talk to Virgil at the Eagles, we always had a good time talking, I will miss Virgil, take care.

Dear Kim & Family, We want to express our condolences and sympathy upon hearing of your fathers passing. Soon the clouds will open and your heart will be lifted; but now you are going through the terrible loss of someone you love. Please know we care about you, and wish you comfort in knowing that God our Father is at your side.

I have known Virgil ever since I can remember. His family and mine were neighbors on the Greencastle Road east of Hazelwood (now known as E C R 1000 S where my family still lives) and he was a good friend to my Daddy, Calvin E. Wells, Jr. I remember as a child they would go to races together or meet up at Daytona when my Mother and Daddy went there together. I always remember his smile and friendliness. In these later years I would see him in Kroger on Thursdays while we were shopping... Mother and I and he and Helen. He always had time to visit and sometimes coming up behind her to play a little trick on Mother. One time when having my hair done (I believe at a North side salon) I discovered that the stylist was his daughter! I know he will be missed greatly. I am in Florida now and will be unable to call. Helen and daughters, my heart goes out to you.
