Someone posted this on FB and my heart sank. Meredith and I went to grade school together at a very small Catholic school in Ft. Wayne. She was a grade behind me, but because our grades were often combined we were then in the same class. Meredith was a class act, even in grade school. She never had a bad word for anyone. Her smile was huge and infectious. Her heart was so big. We were in a youth group singing group and she made every rehearsal fun. Gosh, I can hear that laugh now.
I am so sorry for the loss of this wonderful woman and the broken hearts of her family.

My thoughts and prayers are with Meredith's loved ones. I attended Cathedral grade school with Meredith in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was my classmate, my friend and fellow cheerleader. I remember her beautiful smile, her humor, her intelligence and yes her seriousness when she was keeping her siblings in line. She was quite the mother hen to them. She was tall and elegant, sweet and gentle. She was a good and loyal friend. We lost track of each other after grade school but she remained in my heart. Mert is a wonderful woman. A great sister and a passionate friend. I won't have to miss her because I always carry my family with me. I pray for them all every day.
