I wasn't contacted so I was not aware, although we lived so close. My mother, as they were best of friends, chose my middle name to be Gail. I wish we could be closer. I'm of late realizing just how precious time can be, even if given questionably, which does not in any way relate to this passing other than my sorrow that I'm too late to get that last unconditional loving hug like I'd receive from my grandmother who by chance just happened to be her mother's best friend, Aliene.

I am so sorry to hear of Gayles passing and know it leaves a big hole in your hearts. She was a beautiful lady that loved her family so very much, and was a constant supporter of them in all that they did. Remember the good times to keep her memory in your hearts and minds. Sandra

Just found out last nite. I am so sorry. Gayle was one of the best. Need a lot more like her in the world. She was a lot younger than 82, quick smile, wonderful hugs. The funeral home had to have been packed to the gills. Very nice video. Enjoy all your memories of her.

Very sorry to hear about Gayle's passing. I have wonderful memories of the times I spent with the Chalfant family as a child and young adult. Gayle was so much fun, always singing with her beautiful voice, always welcoming and loving to me and my cousin Gaytha. Gayle was beautiful, not only on the outside but truly beautiful on the inside too. You are all in my prayers and I am so sorry I cannot attend the memorial. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Monna

My thoughts & prayers are with the Chalfant family-Gayle was a kind-compassionate friend of all who knew her-she had a quick wit-a winning smile A unforgettable laugh & a song in her heart that spilled out with joy--this is what I remember best-her singing to the hit songs of the fifties & sixties! She has a spirit that will fly to the moon & dance among the stars --she will live in the hearts of her children & all of the people who loved her throughout eternity---

Danena and Steve and the Chalfant Family, my sincere condolences on your Mother's passing. She was such a sweet and fun lady and I always had fun when visiting your home growing up. She let us have pom pom parties! She was a neat lady and I just know that Heaven shines a little brighter with her there. RIP Dear Lady.
