Elizabeth “Libby” Ann Eddy passed away, Monday, September 12, 2016 at the age of 92.  She was married 41 years to George B. Eddy who passed away in 1993.  Born Elizabeth Beaty in Paoli, Indiana in 1924, she attended Paoli High School and Indiana and Purdue Universities.  Libby moved to Indianapolis in the 1940’s and worked at Allison Engine and Eli Lilly Co. She and George married in 1952 and moved to Danville, Indiana.  While raising a family with George, Libby worked for then Mayor Lugar as the coordinator of the Mayor’s Garden Program in poor neighborhoods in Indianapolis. Libby wrote articles about horticulture for the local newspaper and AdLibs and worked for the Hendricks County Extension Office.  She was active with the Danville Chapter of Tri Kappa and the community.  After retiring, George and Libby worked together making wooden toys and signature wood items in their local woodshop, Red Barn Woodcraft’s until George’s passing.  Libby is survived by Daughter, Kathy Eddy of Franklin, Indiana and son William “Bill” Eddy who resides in Danville with his wife Karen.  Two Granddaughters: Melissa and Sarah Eddy.  Calling hours will be Friday September 16, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Baker Funeral Home, Danville.  Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, September 17, 2016 in the Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. in Paoli Community Cemetery in Paoli, Indiana.
