Obituary

William J. “Bill” Rapp, age 82, of Plainfield, passed away on June 29, 2021 in Hendricks Regional Health in Danville, Indiana.  He was born on May 14, 1939 in Evansville, Indiana to the late James and Lucille Condit Rapp.  He was a comptroller for ADT for 40 plus years before his retirement.  He proudly served the United States Marine Corps.  He enjoyed watching sports, especially college, Colts and Pacers, working outdoors, gardening, wood working, cooking and redoing/tinkering with little projects.  He was a member of the St. Mark’s Episcopal in Plainfield, Indiana. William was a wonderful, loving, generous, hardworking, caring and stubborn too.  Graveside services will be held on Saturday July 3, 2021 at 1 p.m. (CST) in St. Joseph’s Cemetery 2500 Mesker Ave. Evansville, Indiana. A celebration of life will be held in Plainfield at a later date.   Survivors include his wife Jane Stamper Rapp.  Children: Darcey Steel (John) and Devon Rapp.  Step children: Kurt Finchum (Ellen) and Kent Finchum.  Brother: James Rapp. Sister: Angela Rapp.  Grandchildren: Jacob Steel (Stephanie), William Steel (Allie) and Hayden Rapp (Elizabeth).
