William A Stein

William A. “Steine” Stein, 90 of Plainfield, passed away on May 26, 2019 in his residence.  He was born on June 6, 1928 in Indianapolis to the late William Joseph and Rena Mae Cooksey Stein.  He married Margaret F. Osborne Stein on July 3, 1947; she survives.  Bill was a machine repairman at G M Allisons for 39 years retiring in 1990.  He was a member of the St. Susanna Catholic Church, loved music, playing harmonica, singing, shuffleboard and woodworking. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 2 p.m. in St. Susanna Catholic Church, Plainfield with burial to follow in Clayton Cemetery.   Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2019 in St. Susanna Catholic Church.  Survivors include his wife, Margaret; children, Peggy Rose (Wayne Garrison), Michael (Linda) Stein, Thomas (Sue Ann) Stein; grandchildren, Kenny Stein, Dustin Stein, Brandi Morris, Shanna Rose, Heather Rose-Carter, Natalie Naviaux; great grandchildren, Briana Fleming, Sydney Stein, Lilli Stein, Macy Stout, Chloe Stout, Evan Dorelli, Ethan Morris, Braeden Morris and Whitney Lloyd. He was preceded in death by a sister, Rena Mae Poteet and a son-in-law, Don L. Rose.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the America Cancer Society 5635 West 96th Street Suite 100 Indianapolis, Indiana 46278 or St. Susanna Catholic Church 1210 East Main St. Plainfield, Indiana 46168.  Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, is handling arrangements.
