Wayne Francis Higgs

Wayne Francis Higgs, 57, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed suddenly on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 9:37 a.m.  Wayne was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 4, 1960 to Donald Arthur and Frances Elaine (Hockett) Higgs. Wayne was a 1979 graduate from Northwest High School in Indianapolis. Wayne is survived by his parents, Donald and Trudy (Vaughn) Higgs; siblings, Phillip Carroll, Michael Higgs, Nancy (Carroll) Hoge, Marci (Higgs) Vogelsong, Christopher Higgs, and Valerie (Higgs) Rich.  Wayne is also survived by loving in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews, and a host of long-time friends.

Wayne will be greatly and forever missed by all of his family and friends. A private viewing was held, and he will be cremated with private interment at Bethel United Methodist Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN, next to his mother, Frances Elaine.

Wayne’s strong faith was obvious in that he looked to his Bible daily for strength and wisdom. An avid reader, and expert story-teller, Wayne had a gift for bringing laughter to his surroundings without fail. He loved and admired his family and was kind and compassionate with a contagiously loving spirit.

Wayne will be remembered in a Celebration of Life at a future date to be determined. Wayne would want to recognize his brother-in-law Daniel Hoge, and everyone at Hall Baker Funeral Home, for assisting his family so graciously with the arrangements.
