Wayne Ferguson, age 95 of Plainfield, passed away on August 9, 2021 in Hendricks Regional Health in Danville. He was born on August 7, 1926 in North Salem, Indiana to the late Harrison and Mable Sylvia Morphew Ferguson. He married Mary Louise “Mary Lou” Gentry on May 3, 1953 in Hazelwood, Indiana; she preceded him in death in 2017. He was a member of the Clayton Christian Church. Wayne was an US Army Veteran of WWII and an US Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He worked for 28 years as a machinist for Westinghouse Airbrake and at J.D. Adams Co. retiring in 1983. Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 12, 2021 at 1 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial with Military rites will follow in Clayton Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 11 a.m. until service time in the funeral home. Survivors include his daughters: Linda Lasiter and Marsha (Dwayne) Lundy. Grandchildren: Sara Lasiter Petty and Colin Lasiter. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, cherished friends and his beloved dog Kelly. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Meredith Brock, Helen Trent and Milton Ferguson. Memorial contributions can be made to The Gathering Together 147 N.
