Susan L (Frederick) Hyatt

Susan L. (Frederick) Hyatt, 77 of Plainfield, passed away peacefully at her home on October 06, 2023. She was born on March 19, 1946 in Indianapolis to the late Vivian (Thomas) and Robert Dale Frederick. Susan graduated from Plainfield High School in 1964. She married Ronald “Reggie” Hyatt on October 08, 1983 in Indianapolis. Susan worked in the accounting department for over 30 years at Duke Energy (formerly PSI, Cinergy), retiring in 2003. Sue loved being retired. During her retirement years, Sue spent much of her time taking care of her roses, reading books, and attending car shows on the weekends. However, her true “happy place” during her retirement years was Gulf Shores, Alabama. Sue was at her happiest reading a book on the beach in Gulf Shores with a Miller Lite in hand. Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Ron Hyatt of Plainfield; children, Shannon Oisten (Mike) of Noblesville, Stacey Wilkes (Chris) of Westfield, Viki Hyatt (Stan Cook) of Greenwood, Larry Hyatt (Samantha) of Brownsburg; grandchildren, Kayla Barger (Lindsey) of Avon, Chris Hyatt of Brownsburg, Kendall Wilkes, Ryan Wilkes, both of Westfield, and Morgan Oisten of Noblesville. A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, October 27th from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Hilton Garden Inn, Indianapolis Airport (8910 Hatfield Dr. Indianapolis, 46241). Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, is in charge of the arrangements.
