Skylor Colten Messer, 26, of Clayton passed away unexpectedly on September 9, 2022 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis surrounded by family. He was born on March 8, 1996 in Baumholder, Germany to Melanie Peterman Messer and the late Paul Messer. Skylor was a 2014 graduate of Cascade High School. He was an electrician and was employed at Indy Voltage for nine years before opening his own business, Community Electric in 2021. He loved nothing more than spending time with his beloved fiancée, Kate Breedlove. His love for her was like no other. Skylor was immensely excited to be a father this coming spring. He enjoyed playing the guitar, traveling, gardening and taking care of his cats, chickens, and bees. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. Skylor was survived by his fiancée and longtime girlfriend of ten years Kate Breedlove. Mother: Melanie Messer (fiancée Jason Tower). Brothers: Dawson and Camden Messer.
