Richard P. “Dick” Pearson, 79 of Danville, passed away on November 01, 2020 at the Danville Regional Rehabilitation Center. He was born on November 01, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Richard Leon and Jessie Pauline Hinkle Pearson. Dick is an U. S. Navy veteran and a former member of the Masonic Lodge in Bloomington. He worked in the insurance industry and then became an entrepreneur owning several businesses including an independent insurance agency, auction company, antique store, real estate development company, and restaurant. In recent years he was a construction supervisor for Ryland Homes and Davis Homes and also provided handyman services. Survivors include his sons from first marriage Richard E. (Catherine) Pearson, Bryan (Christine) Pearson; grandchildren, Lindsay (Matt) Cook, Madissen, Matthew Pearson; wife, Carol Edwards; children, Clint (Tammy) Ping, Sherry (Bobby) King; grandchildren Kira Everman, Kayla (Jeremy) Everman, Tia King, Jessica (Matt) Ping; great grandchildren, Aubrey, Ethan Bajpai and Braylen Watson. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 06, 2020 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service time in the funeral home.
