Obituary

Richard Lee “Dick” Miller, age 81, of Monrovia, passed away on March 20, 2024 in Mooresville. He was born on April 9, 1942 in Brazil, Indiana to the late Chester Richard Miller and Mary Martha Shields Swain. Dick dedicated 30 years of his life to the Carrier Corporation, retiring in 2007. A proud US Army Veteran, he served his country honorably. He was also a lifelong member of Eagles Lodge #3988 in Mooresville. Since 1987, Dick had enjoyed a tranquil life by the lake. Funeral services will be on Monday March 25, 2024 at 1 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home Plainfield. Private burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Clay City, Indiana. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to his services in the funeral home. Survivors include his Daughter: Tonya Smith. Granddaughter: Gwendolyn Smith. Sister: Sandra Huston (Randy Coffin). Nephew: Bryan Huston (Gina). Niece: Stephanie Morris (Ryan). Several Great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Vonna Miller and sons: Anthony Hugh Miller and Richard Chester Miller. Please make memorial contributions in Dick’s memory to Briarwood Lake Association P.O.
