Patricia R. "Patty" (Shackelford) Schafhauser

Patricia R. “Patty” Schafhauser, age 71, of Plainfield, passed away on June 6, 2022 in Indianapolis.  She was born in Indianapolis on October 19, 1950 to the late Edward and Betty Lane Shackelford.  She married Wayne Schafhauser on July 17, 1993; he survives.  Patty was a purchasing agent for Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis for 15 years and retired in 2003.  Patty was an active member of the Avon United Methodist Church, senior Time Steppers tap dance group, she enjoyed ballroom dancing as well as teaching it, volunteered for the Hope Healthcare Services in Avon, was very active in all the Grandchildren’s lives and Wayne and Patty would volunteer as ushers for the Footlight musicals.  Funeral services will be held on Friday June 10, 2022 at 1 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Rev. Danny Walker will officiate.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.  Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.  Survivors include her husband Wayne. Sons:  Michael Trowbridge (Lisa), Eric Schafhauser (Jennifer) and Ryan Schafhauser (Jill).  Brother: Michael Shackelford (Libby).  Sister: Shirley Chapman.  Grandchildren: Anne, Michael, Clint Trowbridge and Grady, Derek, Emily and Julia Schafhauser.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Hendricks County Humane Society at www.hendrickshumane.org or Hendricks County Humane Society 3033 East Main St. Danville, Indiana 46168.  Please visit www.bakerfuneralservice.com to leave the family a condolence.
