He held a number of patents for inventions and received some significant industry awards. He was a family man, devoted to his grandchildren and an avid fisherman.  Survivors include his wife of almost 63 years, Geraldine Zoiss of Plainfield; sons, Mike (Maggie) Zoiss of Carmel, Mark (Janice) Zoiss, Marty (Michele) Zoiss, both of Avon; and 4 grandchildren, Ben, Amanda, Adam and Noah.  His parents and brothers, Joe, Bob and Ed Zoiss, preceded him in death.  A memorial mass will be held at a later date.  Hall-Baker Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association 115 W Washington St #1180-South Indianapolis, IN  46204.
