Obituary

Matchie Ribble, 78 of Danville, passed away August 3, 2019 in the Hearth at Prestwick.  She was born on April 08, 1941 in Baird, Texas, to the late Tom Morgan and Margarete (Halbrook) Patrick.  She married Charles G. “Charlie” Ribble on March 08, 1968 in Norman, Oklahoma, and he preceded her in death on December 19, 2016.  Matchie was co-owner of Ribble Maytag in Plainfield for several years, retiring in 2007.  She attended West Bridge Church in Danville and was a former member of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority.  Matchie loved her family and enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting and of course, shopping.  Survivors include her children, Matchie Luan Denney (Samuel) of Danville, Sherry Kim Kile (Tracy Wages) of Danville, Charles G. Ribble, Jr. (Kathy) of Cloverdale; sister, Margaret Fitzgibbons (Frank) of Texas; grandchildren, Heather Dawn Ludlow (Matt) of Coatesville, Eric Presley Ribble of Florida, Grant Reid Cameron (Lindsay) of Avon, Sara Nicole Oppy (Ryan) of Danville, Tamara Joy Hill of Greencastle, Bryce Connor Denney of Danville, Jonathan James Hill of Greencastle, Kimberly Kempf (Dave) of Greencastle, Lindsey Taylor, Paige Wages, Dylan Wages, all of Indianapolis; great grandchildren, Cameron Ludlow, Russell Cameron, Jace Cameron, Adalyn Ludlow, Lydia Oppy, Margaret Oppy, Jace Ribble, Aaron Langdon, Mikayla Kempf , Ryan Kempf, Lyric Taylor, Kross Taylor and Kaylii Berry.  Her parents, husband, children, Tina K. Smith, Ray W. Morgan, Betty Furman and siblings, Betty Cox, Tom Morgan, James Morgan and Shirley Derebery, also preceded her in death.

Services will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 10, 2019 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with burial to follow in the New Winchester Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service in the funeral home.  Contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children 2900 Rocky Point Dr Tampa, FL 33607.
