Mark Jay Stewart (Mokey), 69 of Danville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 22, 2020. He was surrounded by his wonderful wife of 37 years, Chris and four awesome children, Taryn, Adam (Jessi), Matt (Jess) and Molly Stewart. Mark was a 1969 graduate of Danville High School. He lived his life for his family, friends, fishing and fun times (Not necessarily in that order)! He loved to joke and laugh with his friends. He was the best “Pop” in Danville, he even had the shirt to prove it (Pop, the man, the myth, the legend). He will be missed by many!
Mark is the son of Frank and Betty (Bennett) Stewart (aka, Granny and Pop), the brother of Larry “Stew” (Jeanette), Chyrl Brandt (Chuck), Mike (Cheryll), Randy (Terri), Scott (Lynn), Kenny (Joyce). He loved hearing his grandkids call him Pop, Ethan, Sydney, Emma, Eli, Avery, Dylan and Hadley. He is the son-in-law of Herb and Dottie Jenkins and brother-in-law of Mike Jenkins (Tammy).
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at the Phi Delta Kappa House in Danville from 1:00-5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Phi Delta Kappa Memorial Scholarship Fund 802 Phi Delta Kappa Way Danville, IN 46122. Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is handling the arrangements.
