Margie K. Hann, 80 of Zionsville, passed away July 4, 2018 in Avon. Born December 7, 1937 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Elizabeth Jane (Davis) and John M. Howard, Sr. She married Dr. E. Carl Hann on October 12, 1977 in Las Vegas, Nevada and he preceded her in death in 2008.
Margie graduated from St. Vincent School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse for Methodist Hospital and Dr. Donald Rogers’ Pediatrician’s Office. Margie also worked in retail for L. S. Ayres and Co. She was a member of the Zionsville Presbyterian Church and St. Vincent School of Nursing Alumni. Margie was a prolific knitter and shared her gifts throughout her lifetime with many of her loved ones.
Survivors include her brother, John M. Howard, Jr. (Jill); nieces, Carrie Hatfield (Jeff), Megan Allison (Stuart); nephew, Dr. John M. Howard III (Serena); 7 great nieces and nephews and her treasured friend and companion, Dr. Donald Rogers. Her parents, husband and sister, Elizabeth J. Watt, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 11:00 am on Monday, July 9, 2018 in Zionsville Presbyterian Church with burial to follow in the New Hope Cemetery in Miami County. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church. Contributions may be made to the Zionsville Presbyterian Church 4775 W 116th St Zionsville, IN 46077 or “Pay It Forward” in her memory. Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is in charge of the arrangements.
