Margaret Hay, 94, of Plainfield, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. She was born on September 4, 1926 at the family home in Benton County Indiana to Nonie O. and Lou (Bertram) Peercy. She is preceded in death by her parents, three siblings, Eugene Peercy, Ramie O. Peercy, Haskel Peercy, sisters-in-law Wilma Peercy, Myrna Peercy, nephew Roger Peercy and her younger daughter, Hedy L. Peterson. She is survived by her older daughter, Vicki L. Bonachea, grandchildren, Beth, Amanda, and Ian White, sister-in-law, Joan Peercy, nephews Ron Peercy, Wayne Peercy, John Peercy, Rick Peercy, Ryan Peercy, and nieces, Bina Peercy and Diana Muller.
Margaret attended school (grades 1-12) in Oxford, Indiana and two years of college at Indiana Teachers College in Terre Haute.
Her work history includes: Conron Wholesale Hardware, Danville, Illinois, Benton Federal Savings & Loan in Oxford (13.5 years), Tipton Real Estate, Attica, Indiana, and Mar-Tip Catering, Inc/Mar-Tip Corporation until retirement in 1999.
Margaret was a member of the Plainfield United Methodist Church, serving on the Board of Trustees for 15 years. She was a member of Rachel Circle, a church sewing group, Golden Girls, and Encore.
