Obituary

Linda Kay Harbison, 74 of Plainfield passed away on November 14, 2021.  She was born November 13, 1947 in Danville, IL to the late Rollie and Mary Nixon Cushman. She married Jay Harbison on August 17, 1969, who just recently passed on July 30, 2021. 

 

Linda was an active member of the Plainfield United Methodist Church where she played in the bell choir and participated in numerous charitable activities. She was an accomplished pianist and community volunteer donating time and resources to multiple elementary and preschools from central Indiana to St Louis. She had a deep love for children and touched many lives through her joy of teaching. Among her many accomplishments she also built a successful office for an eye care practice from which she retired. She was a ready friend whose passion was to be helpful. She was lovingly devoted to her family who will miss her beyond measure.

 

Survivors include her sons, Matt Harbison (Andrea) and Dave Harbison (Thy), and a brother Ken Cushman (Karen). Also, four grandchildren; Reese, Gage, Gerald, and Jessa.  Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life ceremony for both Linda and Jay this Saturday, 11/20/21 at the Plainfield United Methodist Church 600 Simmons Street, Plainfield, In. at 2:00 pm.  Please make all contributions to the Plainfield United Methodist Church Endowment funds: 600 Simmons Street, Plainfield, Indiana 46168.
