Obituary

L. Ann Lofton, 85 of Danville, passed away on September 13, 2023 at the Villages of Avon. She was born on October 27, 1937 in Paragould, Arkansas, to the late Glenace Pace Raybrook and Otis Jones. Ann was the housekeeping supervisor at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy for many years before retiring. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, music, dancing, traveling and most importantly spending time with her family. Survivors include her children, Rhonda Pierson, Lesa Ternet (Greg), both of Danville, Ronnie “Buddy” Lofton (Amy) of Lizton, Becky Coatney, Mary Keen (Jim), Kenny Lofton (Sarah), Barry Lofton (Carrie), all of Danville; 21 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kathy Lofton; sons-in-law, Frank Pierson, Doug Coatney; 2 sisters, 1 brother; and the children’s father, Ronnie Lofton, Sr. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Calvary Chapel of Danville, with burial to follow in the Danville South Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service time in the church. Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is handling the arrangements.
