John H. Wilson, Jr. grew up in Speedway, Indiana, where he attended school until the family moved to Noblesville, Indiana. He graduated from Noblesville High School and was involved in the music program playing percussion. John continued his studies at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. During his time at Ball State, John was a member of the band and accompanied the swing choir. Throughout his life music was his passion. This was demonstrated through his involvement with country bands, rock bands, theater productions, writing lyrics, and composing music. After his struggle with a rare disease, AA Amyloidosis, John passed away in the early hours of June 6th, 2019. He is survived by his parents, John H. and Carol A. (Neiman) Wilson, his sisters and their spouses, Cindy and Jeff Foxworthy, Lori and Tom Whinrey, nephew Matt Whinrey (Nikki), nieces Kim Whinrey, Jamie Driver, and Allison Driver. Due to his limited vision and desire to help others, John chose to donate his eyes; therefore, the family is requesting contributions be made to Vision First Indiana Lions Eye Bank, 727 E. 86th Street, Indianapolis , IN 46240 or at www.visionfirst.org.
