Joanne R. (Little) George

Joanne R. George, 86 of Clayton, passed away on December 09, 2021 surrounded by many of those who loved her.  She was born on October 07, 1935 in Clayton, Indiana, to the late Paul and Ruth (Woods) Little.  Joanne married Leroy George on March 22, 1954 in Clayton and he preceded her in death on October 29, 2006.  She was a homemaker and cared deeply about her community. She frequently volunteered, most notably at the Hendricks County Hospital Guild and Hendricks County Senior Center.  Joanne loved spending time with her family. Her grandkids often looked up in the stands to see their grandma cheering them on. She enjoyed Christmas, sewing and crafts, practicing yoga, and evenings at the theater with her friends.  Joanne is survived by her children Cheryl Marks (Jim) of Plainfield, Darryl George (Cindy), Eugene George (Sherri), Rochelle Musson (Douglas), all of Clayton; grandchildren, Paul Marks (Jessica), Matthew Marks, Adam Marks, Rachel Cooper (Cody), Eric George (Courtney), Danielle Hofmann (Kris), Casey Burdine (Tracie Seidle), Kailani Watson (Tanner), Levi Musson (Sage); great grandchildren, Lorelai Marks, Harlan Cooper, Waylon George, Lincoln George,  Arlo George, William Hofmann, Carter Burdine, Xander Seidle, and Lucas Seidle.  Joanne’s parents, husband, daughter Paula Sue George, and brothers Howard and Raymond Little, preceded her in death.  Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00 pm on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at the Hall-Baker Funeral Home.  Services will be on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, with burial to follow in the Stilesville Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Hendricks County Senior Center, or the Kidney Foundation.  Online condolences may be made at www.bakerfuneralservice.com
