Jo Ann Hacker, 83 of Stilesville, passed away November 3, 2020, at Sugar Grove Senior Living in Plainfield. She was born on September 4, 1937, in Stilesville, Indiana, to the late Lewis Dean and Mary Elizabeth Pridemore Thorpe. She was the widow of both, Namon Dean Walker and Harvey Harlan Hacker. Jo Ann worked as a clerk for the State of Indiana, Hendricks County Government, and Walmart before retiring. She loved to crochet and would volunteer to make baby blankets for the Newborns in Need program. Survivors include her son, Kevin Dean Walker of Plainfield; daughter, Deborah Ann (Dennis) Summerlot of Fillmore; sister, Mary Lou Fisher of Clayton; grandchildren, Stephanie Wall (Rick Thompson) of Bloomington, Brad (Jess) Barker of Ladoga, Ashley (Greg) Dieruf of New Ross, Cody (Darian) Summerlot of Coatesville; great-grandchildren, Drake, Cayden, and Alayna. Services will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 7, 2020, in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, with burial to follow in Mill Creek Cemetery, Danville. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service in the funeral home.
