Jean W. Bell, 90 of Plainfield, passed away June 12, 2020. She was born on November 22, 1929 in Lafayette, to the late Rudolph and Hazel Bryan Wiggins. Jean’s mother died during childbirth and she was raised by Edith Robinette Simmons. Jean married Virgil A. Bell on September 02, 1950 in West Lafayette and he preceded her in death in 1985. She was a clerk at Indiana Professional Licensing Agency for 15 years, retiring in 1992. Survivors include her children, Susan B. (Frank) Friedman of Charlottesville, VA., Sandy L. (Eugene) Reed of Cedar Creek, TX., Mark A. (Debbie) Bell of Plainfield, Janice B. (Mark) Hardwick of Plainfield, Brian E. (Maria) Bell of Brownsburg; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Her parents, husband and brothers, Marvin and Dean Wiggins, preceded her in death. Services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service begins in the funeral home.
