James Nester Williams went to be with the Lord on July 26, 2019 at the age of 68. He was born on January 15, 1951 in Wurzburg, Germany to the late Boyd Franklin and Eva Germaine (Boulanger) Williams. He married the love of his life, Pamela K. Roberts, on August 22, 1971 in Danville, Illinois.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Pam Williams of Danville; his sons, Timothy James Williams (Jeanne) of North Carolina, Thomas Troy Williams (Jennifer) of Plainfield, and Jack Boyd Williams (Rachael) of Avon; his brothers, Boyd Lee Williams (Elaine) of Washington, Kenneth Brack Williams (Stacey) of California; his sister, Frances Marie Ortiz (Clyde) of California; his grandchildren, Kelsey (Drew), Luke, Adysson, Kyle, Landon, Lincoln, Evert, Benjamin, and one great grandchild on the way; his sister-in-law, Christina Kupcik (Kevin) and his brother-in-law, Christopher Roberts (Lori).
James retired from the Air Force in 1990 after 20 years of distinguished service, retiring as a Senior Master Sargent. As a resident of Danville, Indiana, he began a second career with Rolls Royce, retiring after 25 years.
Jim very much enjoyed his retirement years. He loved tending to his garden and building beautiful wood-working projects, especially when he could find a reason to buy more tools! Jim most enjoyed spending time with his wife, grandchildren, and friends and family…and always hosting a good party!
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, Indiana, with burial to follow at Danville South Cemetery with full military rites. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service in the funeral home.
