Obituary

James Lynn Shockley, 83 of Danville, passed away on May 11, 2023.  He was born on May 12, 1939 in Indianapolis to the late Alma M. (Acra) and James I. Shockley.  Jim worked in the banking industry for over 45 years. He was a 50-year member of Western Star Masonic Lodge #26 F & AM and a member of the Scottish Rite. Survivors include his daughters, Sloan Shockley-Lewis (Jeff) of Indianapolis, Susan Buffington (Jeff) of Dawsonville, Georgia; 4 grandchildren, Caitlyn Bobo (Grant), James Carr (Paige), Mason Carr (Caroline), Sara Bailey (Joseph); 3 great-grandchildren, Esther Carr and twin girls, Nelly and Harley Bailey.  Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 22, 2023 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with entombment to follow in Danville South Cemetery Mausoleum.  Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2023 in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Western Star Masonic Lodge #26 F & AM 34 East Main Street Danville, IN  46122 or Shriners Hospitals for Children P.
