James Dwain Goldman, 86 of Danville, passed away March 16, 2021. He was born on August 26, 1934 in Perry County, Indiana, to the late Jesse Lafayette “Lafe” and Anna C. (Everard) Goldman. Jim was a 1952 graduate of North Salem High School and served with the National Guard in 1954. He married Carolyn J. Anderson on August 30, 1958 in Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Danville. He worked at Allisons and General Motors for 40 years retiring in 1992 as the area manager. Jim was a member of the Conservation Club, Hendricks County Senior Center and Mary, Queen of Peace, all in Danville. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Carolyn J. Goldman of Danville; daughters, Deborah J. Blevins (Scott) of Highland, IN., Sheryl L. Chalfant (Todd) of Spencer, IN.; brother, Thomas L. Goldman of Mooresville; sisters, Regina M. Hawkins, Geraldine F. “Jerri” Griffith (Gary), both of Danville; 5 grandchildren, Samantha Monnett (Joey), Harmon M. Goldman (Joanna), Blaine A. Blevins (Megan), Jessica B. Chalfant; 5 great grandchildren, Hunter, Kash, Kolton, Stevie and Taylor. His son, Michael D. Goldman and grandson, Logan T. Chalfant, preceded him in death. Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is handling the arrangements. There will be no services.
