Obituary

Jackie (Jack) L. Rooze, 84 of Danville, passed away March 06, 2021 at Majestic Care of Avon.
He was born on June 26, 1936 in Lafayette, Indiana, to the late Fred and Helen (Hanover)
Rooze. Jack married the love of his life Margaret “Peggy” Wilson on June 18, 1955 in Lafayette.
She preceded him in death in 2012. He was an U. S. Army veteran and an entrepreneur. Jack
and Peggy owned and operated several businesses including the Buckhorn Bar in Danville
during the early 70s. After moving to Tucson, Arizona, they owned the Dairy Twins ice cream
shop and lovingly ran an in-home daycare. Jack was a former member of the Danville Jaycees
and the Indiana Carpenters Union. Survivors include his daughter, Lisa R. Hagan of Danville;
grandchildren, Keri (Tim) McRoberts, Kory (Heather) Linton, Kyle (Kristen) Hagan; great
grandchildren, Lucy, Caleb, William and Sam McRoberts, Aidan, Adeline and Anneliese Linton,
Dallin, Kaila, Bridgett and Brodin Hagan. Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is handling the
arrangements. Private family services were held Saturday, March 13th. In lieu of flowers,
contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 50 E 91st St #100 Indianapolis, IN
46240.
