Edward D. “Jack” McDonald, 88, of Danville, passed away on June 20, 2022. He was born on September 17, 1933 in Lyons, Indiana, to the late Dean and Mabel (Brinson) McDonald. Jack married Betty J. Kemp on July 10, 1953 in Clermont and she preceded him in death January 20, 2014 after 60 years of marriage. He worked 25 years for the Indiana Department of Transportation and 15 years at Indiana Constructors Incorporated. He was a member of the Danville United Methodist Church and also volunteered there at the Shared Blessings Food Pantry. In his earlier years he was a Boy Scout Master and a Little League baseball coach. Survivors include his children, Charles McDonald (Susan) of Robinson, IL., Chriss McDonald (Holly) of Trout Run, PA., Cheryl Meyers (Vincent) of Bowling Green, IN.; sister, Joyce Lang of Indianapolis; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. His parents, wife, and siblings, Julian McDonald, Joretta Wilson, and Joanna Wade, preceded him in death. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2022 in the Danville United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Danville South Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Baker Funeral Home, Danville, and also one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Shared Blessings Food Pantry, 820 W Mill St Danville, IN 46122.
