Obituary

Douglas Gordon Coatney, 64 of Danville, passed away October 17, 2019.  Born September 03, 1955 in Washington, Indiana, he was the son of the late James Arthur and Nancy Caroline (Shake) Coatney.  Doug married Rebecka Ann Lofton on August 03, 1996 in Danville.  He received his master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.  Doug retired from Duke Energy on December 01, 2010 as the manager of project controls.  He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Sons of Amvets and the Knights of Columbus.  Survivors include his wife, Rebecka Coatney of Danville; daughters, Erica Lynne Coatney of Indianapolis, Lisa Marie Logsdon of Danville; son, Bradley Michael Bailey of Indianapolis; 2 grandchildren, Bryce Philip Logsdon, Colson Douglas Logsdon; brother, Christopher Charles Coatney (Terri); sister, Catherine Ann Burkhart (Robert); Uncle Frederick Richard Coatney and  Aunt Mary Jane Gilliatt (John).

Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with burial to follow in the Danville South Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 in the funeral home.
