Meyer on April 14, 1943.  They lived in several towns in Otoe County, moving to Lincoln in 1955, where they raised three children:  Susan, David, and Mary Ann. Dorothy worked in the Accounting Dept. of the Federal Soil Conservation Service from 1955 to 1989.  She took pride in her work, earning many awards and promotions.  She was an active member of First Lutheran Church Lincoln and enjoyed square dancing and round dancing with Lorenz.

In 1994 she moved to Plainfield, IN to be near family. While living there she joined Plainfield United Methodist Church and the Women’s Club. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, her brother and sister- in- law, and friends.  She loved hosting out-of-town family whenever they could visit.   Her hobbies included needle work, playing Scrabble, and walking/exercising.  Dorothy took advantage of many traveling opportunities after retirement, both overseas and state-side.

She is survived by her daughters: Susan Meyer; Mary Ann Hamilton and son-in-law, Michael; and 3 grandchildren:  Joanna Hamilton, Kimberly Hamilton (Ashley Running), and Ian Hamilton; and one sister-in-law (Martha Siemers), along with many nieces and nephews.
