Doris A (Jamison) Myers

Doris Annette Jamison Myers, age 91, of Plainfield passed away on May 26, 2022 in Indianapolis.  She was born on December 25, 1930 in Paragon, Indiana to the late Harland and Flossie (Freeman) Jamison.  She was a graduate of Paragon High School and was the wife of Donald R. Myers.  He preceded her in death in 1998.  Doris was a homemaker and a caregiver.  She was a volunteer for many churches, school programs, delivered meals on wheels, helped with bible school and 4-H programs. She was a member and President of the Fountain Co Garden Club was a C.N.A. and QMA.

Survivors include her children: Terry Myers (Mary Beth), of Plainfield Indiana, Karin Schmidt (Timothy), of Vincennes, Indiana and Sister: Frieda Pettijohn of Greenfield Indiana.  Grandchildren: Stephanie Houghton (Joel), Sarah Gardner (Brian), DJ Schmidt, Thomas Schmidt and Zachary Schmidt. Step Grandchildren: Jacob Hurst (Megan), John Hurst, Michael Hurst.  Great Grand Children: Harrison and Eliza Houghton and Mackenzie and Hunter Gardner. 

She was preceded in death by her siblings Evelyn Cheney, Vivian Haase, Annabeth Smith, Reba Sanders, Hoyt Jamison, Kenneth Jamison and Oran Jamison. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 31, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. at the Hall-Baker Funeral Home 339 East Main Street Plainfield Indiana.  Burial will follow in Friendship Park Cemetery in Paragon Indiana.  Bereavement dinner will be held at the Richard A Carlucci Recreation and Aquatic Center 651 Vestal Road Plainfield, IN 46168 for family and friends at 4:00 p.m.
