Donald W. Ditmer, age 68 of Clayton, passed away on February 8, 2021 at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville. He was born on August 29, 1952 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Berdie William Ditmer and Roberta Krauth Fredrick. He was a 1971 graduate of Cascade High School. He was in maintenance at the Pep Boys warehouse in Plainfield before his retirement. He was a Veteran of the US Navy and a member of the Danville American Legion Post #118. Calling hours will be on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. Funeral services will start at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with Rev. Jon McDugle officiating. Burial will follow in Clayton Cemetery. Survivors include his sister, Ramona Leopard and brother, John Ditmer. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association 3816 Payshere Circle Chicago, Illinois 60674. All guests attending visitation and/or services will be required to wear a mask at all times in an effort to promote a safe environment.
