Denny N. Smotherman

Denny N. Smotherman Jr., age 57, of Clayton, passed away on October 4, 2022 in his residence. He was born on March 5, 1965 in Indianapolis to Denny N. Sr. and Marcia White Smotherman. Denny was a 1983 graduate of Plainfield High School. Denny worked at Groninger Excavating in Plainfield for several years. He was a member of the Plainfield Eagles Lodge #3207, enjoyed playing golf, baseball, football, riding motorcycles, playing poker and the Indianapolis Colts. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. Services will be held at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Cremation will follow services. Survivors include his mother: Marcia White Smotherman. Brothers: David (Lori) and Dewayne (Debbie) Smotherman; niece Kylie (Connor) Ludwig and great-niece Halle; niece Dana Smotherman and great niece’s Luca and Emilia; and nephew’s Devin Smotherman and Kasey Smotherman.
