Obituary

Carolyn J. Goldman of Danville passed away peacefully at home on October 04, 2021, at the age of 82.  She was born on November 03, 1938, in Danville to the late Deloris M. Pearce Bradley and Albert W. Anderson.  Carolyn graduated from Danville High School in 1956, worked for Farm Bureau for several years, and later attained her real estate license.  She married James Dwain Goldman (who recently passed on March 16, 2021) on August 30, 1958 and they were married for 62 years at the time of her passing.  Carolyn was a member of the Conservation Club in Danville and the Hendricks County Senior Center.  She was a former member of the Sweet Adelines’ Choral group, a troop leader for both the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America and a “Team Mom” for many sporting teams when her children were growing up.  She attended Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Danville. 

Survivors include her daughters: Deborah J. Blevins (Scott) of Santa Fe, NM, and Sheryl L. Chalfant (Todd) of Spencer, IN; Sister, Janice M. Miller (Ronald) of Fort Myers, FL; Stepmother, Lucy Anderson and Stepbrother, Kenneth Batchelor, both of Murfreesboro, TN; Grandchildren, Samantha Monnett (Joey), Harmon M. Goldman (Joanna), Blaine A. Blevins (Megan), Jessica B. Chalfant; Great Grandchildren: Hunter, Logan Isabelle, Kash, Kolton, Stevie and Taylor.  Her Parents (Deloris and Albert), Stepfather (Robert Bradley), Husband (James Dwain), Son (Michael Dwain Goldman) and Grandson (Logan T. Chalfant) precede her in death.  Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is handling the arrangements, however, there will be no services.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hendricks County Senior Services 1201 Sycamore Lane Danville, IN 46122.  Online condolences may be made at www.bakerfuneralservice.com
