Obituary

Carl Mitchell “Mitch” Perry, 72 of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at home on June 16, 2022.     Mitch was born on February 13, 1950 in Jellico, Tennessee, to the late Carl and Anna Jean (Wyatt) Perry.  He married Margaret Floyd on April 17, 1981 in Danville. 

After 48 years, Mitch retired from Citizens Energy Group, as Senior Control Technician.  Mitch is well remembered for his unparalleled work ethic and ability to fix anything.  He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.  Mitch loved working in his woodshop and fishing but mostly spending time with his family.   Survivors include his loving wife, Margaret Perry of Indianapolis; son, Guy Perry (Kim) of Brownsburg; daughter, Chi Jean Raymer (Mark) of Plainfield; sister, Linda Spangle (David) of Bicknell; grandchildren, Mitchell Sanders, Rona Stahl (Max), Austin Bunch (Victoria), Nicholas Perry, Taylor Bunch, Morgan Perry; and 6 great grandchildren.  His parents; infant son, Lee Mitchell Perry; sister, Brenda Moore; and stepdaughter, Marjorie Lovins, preceded him in death. 

Services will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, with burial to follow in West Ridge Park Cemetery, Indianapolis.  Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm on Monday, June 20, 2022 in the funeral home.
