Bruce A. Powell

Bruce Allen Powell, 58, of Belleville, Indiana passed away on November 26, 2018 at I.U. Health University Hospital in Indianapolis.  He was born on August 6, 1960 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Robert and Martha (Hopper) Powell.   Bruce was a 1978 graduate of Cascade High School. He was a truck driver, dispatcher and operations manager for several different trucking companies over his career.  He was a member of the Belleville Masonic Lodge #65.  Bruce is survived by his children Tyler Allen Powell and Krista Rae Powell, his sisters Patsy (Wayne) Lottes, Linda Eickleberry, Teresa (Bill) Wade, and his brothers James (Suzy) and Donnie Powell. Other surviving family members include his 12 nieces and nephews and 8 great nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his parents, grandparents, and brother-in-law Steve Eickleberry. Along with the great love for his children and family, Bruce also enjoyed traveling, coaching a number of different youth sports, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles, and giving back to the children of the community by playing Santa. Calling hours will be on Friday November 30, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hall-Baker Funeral Home in Plainfield.  Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday December 1, 2018 in the funeral home.  Entombment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield.
