Bruce McVaughn Clark, 86, of Danville, IN. passed away on November 9, 2023. He was born on September 2, 1937 in Black Oak, Arkansas, to the late Blanch (Qualls) and Homer Clark. Bruce married Julia Ann Burdge on October 11, 1958 in Plainfield, IN. Together, they attended the Danville Church of Christ for most of their lives; where Bruce was recently baptized. Bruce was a field engineer for NCR for 37 years before retiring in 1994. He was a jack-of-all-trades, and with his electronic background, could repair nearly anything. His favorite sport was baseball and he was a St. Louis Cardinals fan his entire life. He coached his sons’ teams during their Danville Little League years. His favorite pastime was fishing with his best friend and brother-in-law, John Daugherty. Survivors include his sons, Brian Clark of Hanover, Bradley Clark of Danville; and grandchildren, Josie, Will, Ethan and Georgia Clark. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Bernice Pieczko and Verneal Troxler. Services will be alongside his wife at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2023 at the Hall-Baker Funeral Home in Plainfield with Preacher “Mo” Hafley officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Bruce would not want money spent on flowers. In lieu of, the boys ask for donations to be made to the Melanoma Research Foundation.
