Barbara M (Sharp) Willard

Barbara M. Willard, 76 of Danville, passed away on July 02, 2023.  She was born on August 11, 1946 in Sullivan, Indiana, to the late Walter “Burl” and Ethel May (Dix) Sharp.  She graduated from North Central High School in 1964 and went on to obtain nursing degrees from Ivy Tech and Marion College.  Barbara married Jackie Lee Willard on May 18, 1975 in Shelburn and he preceded her in death on July 06, 2012.  She was a registered nurse for several places in both Marion and Hendricks Counties, retiring in 2008.  Survivors include her sons, Randall Gipson (Nicole) of Fortville, Jackie Willard; daughter, Jean Anne McCallister (Dan); grandchildren, Hunter Scott Gipson, Paige Nicole Gipson, Jackie Lee Willard III, Amber Cribley and Dustin McCallister.  Her parents; husband; and sisters, Phyllis Myers and Dixie Pugh, preceded her in death.  A private graveside service will be held at the Mill Creek Cemetery, per Barbara’s request.  Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is handling her arrangements.
