Harold Wayne Lottes, Jr., 77 of Avon, passed away on September 08, 2026. He was born on August 05, 1949, in Indianapolis, to Virginia (Neese) and Harold Wayne Lottes, Sr who both preceded him in death. He spent most of his childhood with his paternal grandparents, Mary Shockency Lottes and William John Lottes on their farm in Lebanon where he learned to drive on a tractor.
Wayne met the love of his life, Patsy Sue Powell at a drive in theatre where they both worked. They married on October 12, 1968, in Belleville, Indiana. They welcomed their first daughter, Traci in 1973 followed by Lori in 1976.
Wayne was an over the road truck driver for most of his adult life and spent over 20 years driving for Heritage Transport LLC retiring in 2002. He was a member of the Belleville Masonic Lodge #65. Wayne enjoyed tinkering on anything with an engine, working on home projects, traveling and spending time with his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Patsy Lottes of Avon; daughters, Traci Whittaker of Indianapolis, Lori Brown (Chris) of Plainfield; 5 grandchildren, Rylee Wolf of Huntsville, AL, Chase Whittaker of Plainfield, Ethan Brown (Skylar) of Avon, Luke Whittaker of Indianapolis and Caden Brown of Plainfield; sisters-in-law, Linda Eickleberry of Plainfield, Teresa Wade (Bill) of Clayton and Suzy Powell of Brownsburg; brother, Mark Lottes; sister, Kay Frederick (Chuck), both of Brownsburg; Nieces, Felice Gilbert (James) of Indianapolis, Krista Umbanhower (Justin) of Avon, Machelle Overton and Wendy Overton, both of Brownsburg; Nephews, Justin Lottes of Brownsburg, Joshua Wade (Beth) of Plainfield, Dustin Powell of Indianapolis, Patrick Wade of Greenfield, Robert Powell of Brownsburg and Tyler Powell (Heather) of Roachdale; 7 great nieces and nephews and a few “daughters” he adopted along the way. Wayne was preceded in death by his mother and father- in law Martha and Robert Powell; his granddaughter, Kailee Whittaker; brothers-in-law, James “Jim” Powell, Donnie Powell, Bruce Powell and Steve Eickleberry.
Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, September 14, 2026, in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until the service time in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
