Warren "Duane" Nielson, 88 of Plainfield, passed away on September 05, 2022.  He was born on December 24, 1933 in Indianapolis to the late Mardena Hess Austermiller and Walter Nielson.  Duane married Jane E. McFarling on January 31, 1955 in Jeffersonville.  He is an U. S Navy veteran and a member of the Plainfield American Legion Post #329.  Duane was the General Manager/V. P. of Albert G. Maas Company for 17 years, retiring in 1984.  Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Jane E. Nielson of Plainfield; children, Debra Lynn Nielson, Kirk Allen (Carmie) Nielson, Jeffrey Martin (Lori) Nielson; grandchildren, Michael Giovanoni, Zachary Nielson, Blake Nielson, Grace Nielson and Andrew Nielson.  Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 09, 2022 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, with burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service time in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 5635 W 96th St Ste 100 Indianapolis, IN 46278.  Online condolences may be at www.bakerfuneralservice.com
