Violet June Richardson, age 91, loving mother and grandmother of Stilesville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025.

She was born on June 29, 1933, in Tazewell, Virginia, to Paul Thomas and Dolly Gay Johnson Puckett. She was the widow of Paul E. "Gene" Richardson.

June worked as a secretary for Public Service Indiana for 30 years before her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clayton, Indiana. She was the author of two books, an avid painter, and enjoyed to sew. She also had quite the green thumb and enjoyed working in her garden.

Funeral services for June will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 1 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home in Plainfield, Indiana. Burial will follow in Clayton Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until services in the funeral home.

Survivors include her son, Ronald Paul Richardson, as well as six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son Allen Eugene "Sam" Richardson.
