Victor Emanuel Joyner, Sr., age 81, formerly of Gary, IN was born April 8, 1938 to the late Herman and Hattie (Nealy) Joyner.  Victor departed this life September 25, 2019 at Cumberland Trace Skilled Care in Plainfield, IN.  He attended Pulaski and Froebel schools, and retired from American Bridge Steel Company and US Tubings.  He was preceded in death by five siblings: Donald Joyner, Gloria Spikener, Shirley Gray, Phyllis Brodie, and Bessie Bell.

He leaves to mourn his memory a loving wife of 62 years Sedonia (Allen) Joyner, son Victor Jr (Kim) of Plainfield, IN, daughter Selinda Joyner of Lexington Park, MD, grandsons Victor III and Jordan Ryan of Plainfield, IN, brother Frank Joyner of Gary, IN, dedicated nieces Dr. Doreen Rogers and Carmen McCollum, dedicated care-givers at Cumberland   Trace Skilled Care, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be held Friday, 4 October 2019, at 11:00 am (Eastern Time), at Hall-Baker Funeral Home, 339 E. Main Street, Plainfield, IN, 46168.
