Thomas J. Wegeng Jr., 64, of Jasper, formerly of Plainfield passed away on January 9, 2017.  He was born on August 25, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Thomas J. Sr. and Geneva Stottle Wegeng.  He married Carrie Holdsworth on July 1, 2008; she survives. He was a 1970 graduate of Plainfield High School and a 1978 graduate of Purdue University.  Tom was an Engineer for Allison's for over 30 years retiring in 2009.  Tom was a musician and played in the band Knee Deep in the Weeds for several years and was an avid and accomplished golfer, having won several club championships and attempting to qualify for the senior U.S. Open.  Calling hours will be on Sunday January 15, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Funeral services will be on Monday January 16, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Jon Lilly officiating.  Entombment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.  Survivors include his wife Carrie Holdsworth Wegeng. Children: Scott Wegeng and wife Megan, Ashley Wegeng, Holly Wegeng, Sarah Marchman and husband Tim and Anna Rolwing and husband David.  Brothers: Robert, William and Donald Wegeng.
