Thelma I. Blanton, age 92 of Plainfield, passed away on June 1, 2018.  Thelma was born on July 1, 1925 in Indianapolis to Earl and Nina Hickman Deitrich. She was the widow of Tom "Elvin" Blanton.  She worked as a waitress in Blanton's Restaurant and Al's Donuts for over 20 years. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home.  Entombment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.  Survivors include her son, Chester Blanton and wife, Mary Ann; daughter, Jennie Rose and husband; and one grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and grandson, Cody Blanton.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Cody Blanton Fund in care of Hendricks County Community Foundation 6319 E.
