Shelby Ruth Richardson, age 83, of Clayton, passed away on June 28, 2023 in her residence.  She was born on November 10, 1939 in Lynn Springs, Virginia to the late James and Virgie Dye Perkins.  She was the widow of Laudy Richardson.  Shelby was a homemaker and a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a great-great grandmother.  Shelby was a 50 plus year member of the First Baptist Church of Clayton.   She loved music and playing her guitar.  Services will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 11 a.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield.  Burial will follow in Clayton Cemetery.  Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. on Saturday prior to the services.  Survivors include her children, Lonnie (Lisa Monzell) Richardson, Barbara (Douglas) Hueseman; 9 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and two on the way; and 1 great-great grandchild.  Please make memorial contributions to First Baptist Church of Clayton 4797 Iowa Street Clayton, Indiana 46118.
