Seán Éamonn Murphy, born on July 23, 1983, in Aurora, Illinois passed away on August 4, 2024, at the age of 41 after an 8-year battle with brain cancer.

Seán graduated from Brownsburg High School in 2001 before furthering his education at Indiana University-Purdue University of Indianapolis (IUPUI) with a Bachelor's of Science.

Professionally, Seán dedicated many years to Kroger, where he served as a co-Manager at various store locations and made many lifelong friends in the process.

Outside of his occupation, Seán was an enthusiastic Chicago Cubs fan, a passion that started as a young child. His hobbies also included enjoying a wide variety of sports, listening to music, going to concerts, gaming, and above all else, spending cherished moments with his family.

Seán is survived by his loving parents, Allen and Denise Murphy, his sisters, Siobhán (Aaron) Howard and Maureen (Isaiah) Thompson, his adored niece and nephews; Liam Thompson, Scarlett Howard, Logan Howard, Jude Thompson, his grandparents Michael and Elizabeth Groom, Linda and Leon Boyer, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Murphy.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 10, 2024 at 3:30 P.M. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield with Deacon Neil May officiating.  Visitation will be on Saturday August 10, 2024 from 1 p.m. to service time at 3:30 P.M.   Private inurnment will take place at a later date in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
