Sandra Williams Pierson, 89, passed away July 19, 2025. She was born January 15, 1936 in New Castle, Indiana to the late Marvin and Madonna (Edwards) Williams.

Sandra earned her master's degree from Butler University and served as a well-respected Home Economics Teacher at Danville Jr. High School for 37 years in Danville, Indiana. Her hobby and passion was traveling around the world. She visited 70 countries! Sandra was a member of Sarasota-Manatee Pi Beta Phi Alumnae Club and Republican Women's Club of Sarasota.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Mark Pierson and his wife Mary; and Todd Pierson and his wife Debra Munholand; sister Sue Ellen (Suzie) Daily; grandchildren Amanda Shaw and her husband Miles; Ashley Hernandez and her husband George; and 4 great grandchildren Hunter, Savannah, Kelsey and Khloe.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her husband George Pierson.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 in the Bosstick Gym located inside the Danville Town Hall (formerly the Jr. High School).  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at the Danville South Cemetery.  Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is handling the local arrangements.
