Sandra Kay Curran, 68 of Brownsburg, passed away on August 30, 2026. She was born on December 01, 1957 in Indianapolis, to the late Martha Mae (Carr) and Billy Ray Wilson. Sandy graduated from Avon High School in 1976. She married Robert Curran on January 23, 1977, in Plainfield.

Sandy worked for several years as a Sales Associate for Sears & Roebuck Corporation, and later as a Customer Service Representative for Golden Rule Insurance. She was an active member of West Bridge Church in Danville. Her love for Christ was woven into the fabric of her everyday life and was demonstrated by her passion of sewing and crocheting. Sandy devoted many years to being a Girl Scout Leader and was also very active with the Avon Junior Athletic Association and the Avon Sports Booster Club. She was the Avon Sports Booster of the Year at one time. Camping with her grandchildren was one of the greatest joys of her life. In her later years, she enjoyed traveling and was able to appreciate God’s creation through mountains, beaches, and also lighthouses.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Robert Curran of Brownsburg; children, Crystal Hoffar (Ian) of Brownsburg, Jason Curran (Stephanie) of Pittsboro; siblings, Brenda McKinney (Tracy) of Bainbridge, LaDonna Wilson (Dean) of Ladoga, Jessica Wilson (Brian) of Brazil, and William Wilson of Terre Haute; 4 grandchildren, Logan Curran, Nora Hoffar, Ethan Curran and Mia Hoffar.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at West Bridge Church, Danville, with burial to follow at the Danville South Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service time in the church. Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is handling the arrangements.
