IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sadie Mae
(Brown) Shrout
October 28, 1937 – December 25, 2018
Sadie Mae (Brown) Shrout, has finished her journey here on earth and began her new adventure in the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ. Mom lived a full and prosperous 81 years, getting to do many things and see many places. She passed away Christmas Day 2018 due to injuries incurred from a fall related head injury.
Mom was the glue that held the Shrout family together through thick and thin. She was our spiritual leader, a tireless worker, a faithful wife, a loving mother, a beloved grandmother and great grandmother, and a loyal sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her mother Audie Wallace Brown, her husband John Thomas Shrout, her brother Willard Brown, and her sister Edna Martin. She's survived by her sisters Stella and Shirley, her brother Grover, and her sons and daughter in laws, Terry & Marilyn, Tim & Kim, and Anthony. She's also survived by her grandchildren Nathan, Tiffany, Natalie, Travis, Nicholas, Kaylee, and Austin as well as by "the Babies", her great grandchildren Wyatt, Finnigan, and Sebastian.
We want to thank all who impacted mom's life over the years, particularly her faithful church friends and those who helped her during her battle with dementia these past several difficult years. We specifically want to thank the kind and dedicated staff at Worthington Place Senior Living in Camby, Indiana. They'll always hold a special place in our hearts for the way they took care of mom over these past 15 months.
While we appreciate all who enriched mom's life throughout the years, we've decided on having a private memorial service. There will be no public showing. In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to express their sympathies in honor of mom are welcome to do so with a donation to their favorite charity or one of the following two organizations: the Alzheimer's Association (htt ps:/ / alz.org /) or the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (htt ps:// www .bc rf.org /). Hall-Baker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
